About this estimate

This fee is an estimate based on the information you provided. It is not a guaranteed price, a binding quote, or an offer or contract for services. We do everything in our power to honor the fee we quote, and in most cases the final fee matches the estimate. However, an appraisal depends on information that is not always available until the property is observed or the assignment is fully defined. If conditions or facts not previously known to the appraiser come to light, whether during the property observation or otherwise in the course of the appraisal (for example, differences in the home's size, land, location, condition or access, or in the scope of work requested), a change in fee may be warranted. As also disclosed in our engagement letter, we reserve the right to revise the fee in those circumstances, and we will explain any change to you before the assignment is completed. Rush service is available for an additional fee, discussed when we speak with you. Past-date (retrospective) appraisals, including date-of-death appraisals, are quoted individually. Our fees are never based on or contingent upon the value we reach. Payment is required before your inspection date, and an invoice will be sent after you place your order.
